Definitions
- Neuropsychological
Testing is non-invasive and are either office based or bed side
tests used to assess cortical functioning.
- Brain
Mapping refers to tests of neurophysiological functioning either
while the patient is at rest or performing a cognitive activity.
- Dementia
Evaluations are composed of several medical and neuropsychological
tests, as well as QEEG Brain Maps in order to differentiate dementia
from other disorders and to determine the likely cause of the
dementia.
- Neurobehavioral
management refers to the management of behavioral disorders in
patients with neurological illnesses or injury.
- Neuropsychiatric
services is the psychopharmacological management of
psychiatric symptoms resulting from acquired or traumatic CNS
disorders.
- Stroke
Rehabilitation consists of adding neuropsychological interventions
with traditional OT, PT and ST rehab services.
- Family
Counseling uses psychotherapy and other psychological and behavioral
treatments to help family member learn and cope more effectively
with their relative’s dementia.
